Should we ask the Father to bless our food before we eat?

We should follow what Scripture teaches, not follow human traditions that were created outside of the Scriptures.

Scripture teaches to bless Father Yahweh AFTER eating food and not pray before eating food, see Deuteronomy 8:10.

And many people ask the Father to bless the food before eating, but that is not something we are ever instructed to do. And even worse, many people eat UNCLEAN foods and then dare ask the Father to bless it before they eat the sinful unclean food!

If you trust in and serve Yahweh, He will already bless your food, there is no need to ask Him and NO Scripture instruction to do so.

Exodus 23:25 “And ye shall serve Yahweh your Elohim, and he shall bless thy bread…”

On the occasion the Messiah broke bread, He blessed it, Matthew 26:26 “And as they were eating, Yahshua took bread, and blessed it…”

Matthew 14:19 “And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the grass, and took the five loaves, and the two fishes, and looking up to heaven, he blessed, and brake, and gave the loaves to his disciples, and the disciples to the multitude.”

So our role is to follow the commandment found in Deuteronomy 8:10, to bless Yahweh AFTER eating food and not before. Be thankful that Yahweh provides good land for us to grow healthy food.
Yahweh’s role is to bless our food when we serve Him, this He will do, without you asking Him to do. If we were to ask Him to bless our food before we start eating, then we would have been taught in Scripture to do so, but NOWHERE in Scripture does it teach to do so. Contrary, we are commanded to bless Yahweh AFTER eating food.

Praying and asking the Father to bless food before eating is based on human tradition alone and not on Scripture!

Follow Scripture and renounce all traditions that contradict the instructions of Scripture.
